Encouraging My Daughter

Project 365 – #244 Our neighbors have a Keurig which D thought was pretty nice, but he never thought it would be a good fit for him.  Then, when my Dad and stepmom starting giving rave reviews for their Keurig, he started thinking about it, a little.  His major hang up is that he drinks a good bit of coffee.  He makes a large pot in the morning and takes most of it to work with him.  He didn’t think the Keurig would fit with his normal routine.  When we were on vacation, my Dad talked about how he actually…

Shucking Corn

Project 365 – #243 On Saturday, we picked up our Bountiful Baskets order which included a nice large box of corn.  We’ve enjoyed some of the fresh corn, but today, it was time to get it all shucked, boiled, and frozen to enjoy at a later date.  I had forgotten how much I really don’t care for shucking that many ears of corn at once.  There is a reason that we all had to do it as kids.  It’s because the adults didn’t really want to do it.  **wink**  It’s worth it though because we ended up with lots of…

Foundations: Christian Apologetic Course

Project 365 – #242 I think I’ve mentioned a time or two (or ten) that we had the privilege of listening to Ken Ham at our state homeschool convention in July.  While we were there, we ordered the brand new Foundations curriculum from Answers in Genesis.  The idea was for us to go through this 12-week study as a family, and from there, we would develop it into a Christian Apologetic Course for Munchkin (for high school credit).
