Week 4 is in the books. Slowly but surely I’m starting to do less and less modification with the exercises. Cardio days are still my hardest days as my asthma slows me down. It will be interesting to see if I can overcome this or if it will just be one of those things that I need to accept. It doesn’t slow me down, per say, but it does make me approach tasks a little differently.
It felt really good to be able to use heavier weights this week and make it through some days without any modification. I was definitely tired and sore after each workout, but it was a good tired and sore. 🙂 I’m continuing to do more stretching as I need more than is offered with the program. My flexibility is coming back which makes me happy. I’m want to get even more flexible and maybe get back to being able to doing the splits.
My core strength and upper body strength is definitely increasing. I notice it not only when I’m exercising but also in my daily activities.
D has noticed that my energy level is up, and I’ve been feeling better which is a definite plus with everything going on around here. He continues to be an awesome support system for me. I appreciate his words of encouragement as they help keep me going. I’m starting to feel more motivated about daily exercise which I never thought I would say. I’m thankful that I’m able to exercise at home as it’s easier to find the time and energy to do it when I know I don’t have to go somewhere to get it done. It’s certainly become part of my morning routine.
While I still haven’t seen any weight loss, my clothes are fitting better which is a cool bonus to all of this exercise. Of course, even though I have more energy, I do find myself wanting to take a nap in the afternoon. lol! My body is still adjusting to all of this different activity. I’m sure the warm afternoons also help with the desire to nap. 😉
