My Thoughts:
The format of this book is absolutely wonderful! The easel style means that I can set the book on the table and allow kids to look at and read the text while I am able to read over the in-depth teaching aids on the back of the page. The spiral binding lends itself to easy flipping of the pages. The colors are bright and eye-catching. The ABC rhyme format is engaging for kids.
The book itself begins with an at-a-glance look at the entire ABC N is for Noah story. Each letter has it’s own text with a beautiful illustration. The teaching aids include Let’s Read (text for that letter), The Starting Point (lesson for the letter), Bible Bits (Biblical truths), Let’s Talk (discussion questions/points), Always Remember (children repeat this paragraph), Stuff to Do (activity), and Quick Review (review questions from the lesson). The book also contains additional notes for more instruction at the end of the story which include an overview, directed discussion, core truth takeaway, and quick review questions.
Free downloadable coloring pages are also available to help reinforce the concepts being learned during the lessons.
This book would be great for families, Sunday school, and/or homeschool. Whether it’s used in a group setting or one-on-one, it’s sure to be a hit with adults with kids who are seeking the truth about Noah and the Bible.
