This past weekend, while we were at the cabin, we decided to take a road trip to Sedona as we hadn’t been there before.
It was a spur of the moment decision as Daddy just thought it would be fun.
Of course, the puppies had to go on the road trip with us as it wouldn’t be the same without them.
The scenery was absolutely gorgeous which made for an enjoyable trip.
Much to my surprise, D looked up a gluten-free restaurant that focused on super healthy food, gmo-free, soy-free food.
I thought we were going to just have a picnic lunch, but he thought it would be fun to stop by there for lunch.
Munchkin wasn’t thrilled with the food as it was a little different from her normal fair, but D and I really enjoyed it.
The restaurant was quite mellow, and they even encouraged us to eat outside with the dogs rather than sit in the vehicle and eat.
I thought it was cool that they had a pet watering bowl all set up for those customers with furry companions.
After seeing the sights of Sedona, we headed on our way with plans to come back and explore more on another day when it wasn’t so crowded.
Thanks for the pictures of “home”. We lived in Sedona for two years when my husband was a youth pastor there. Our oldest was age 1-3 and our youngest was born in Flagstaff. We left when he was 1. Sedona is where we met their “adopted grandparents” – lifelong older friends who really have been grandparents to the boys (they even bought a second house in Albuquerque when we planted a church there!)
That’s awesome about the gluten free restaurant and so pet friendly! We always liked the Airport Restaurant and The Hideaway. Oak Creek Canyon was one of our favorite places!
I’ve only been back once since we moved….
You have so many great memories in the Sedona area. I love that the boys have adopted grandparents that wanted to be part of their lives even after you moved. How wonderful is that?
