Proverbs 31Pursuit of Proverbs 31 Book Description:

Pursuit of Proverbs 31 is a book that dispels the myths surrounding the P31 woman and gives a glimpse into the truth behind these verses of scripture.

It takes us from a works based mentality to one that frees us to accept that Christ is the only one who could ever fulfill scripture. Yet, there is practical wisdom and knowledge to be gained from those verses.

The book dives deep into the character traits represented and how we can accomplish them while keeping Christ as the focus. It is a short read but it is packed full of wisdom and practical application.

My Thoughts:

Amy has taken Proverbs 31 and made it less daunting and more practical. She takes us through her personal journey and encourages us to really dig into scripture to find what the Lord wants for our lives as wives, mothers, women of God. I appreciate that Amy doesn’t just quote scripture. She gives us passages to look up and read, study. She wants us to listen to the Lord’s guidance as we study the scripture. She encourages us to pray throughout the book and really seek the Lord’s help. It’s all about developing our relationship with the Lord which will, in turn, help the other relationships in our lives.

Pursuit of Proverbs 31 can be a quick read, but it can also take a good bit of time depending on how deeply you dig into the scripture and how much time you take on each chapter. It’s the type of study where you will get as much out of it as you put into it. Amy gives you “must do” tasks (essential) as well as useful and bonus tasks to enhance the learning experience.

If you’re looking at a fresh approach to the Proverbs 31 woman, then this could be the study for you.
