The Christian Olympics

Posted in Reviews

While we can’t all participate in the 2012 Olympics games, we are able to participate in the Christian Olympics. You’re probably wondering, “what are the Christian Olympics?” Don’t worry. I thought the same thing before I joined in on the fun. Encourage One Another The Christian Olympics have been put together as a way for Christians to come together online and fulfilling 1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up….” It’s a cross between a game, a study group, and an active encouragement group. Each day, you’re given different tasks to complete that will help you…

Lilla Rose Pony Style

Posted in Family

Munchkin and I recently decided to team up and become Lilla Rose consultants. We received a flexi clip from a friend and ended up liking it so much that we decided to become consultants. The idea is mainly for Munchkin to earn some money to put towards her truck restoration and a little extra spending cash. At this point in time, we’re not sure how in-depth we’re going to go – only time will tell. We like the products, so we want to share them with others. Not familiar with Lilla Rose? Well, it’s a company that features high quality…

Thankful for Air Conditioning

Posted in Family, and Military Life

We woke up to a very hot Monday morning, not unlike most mornings here in the desert of Arizona. Only, today it wasn’t just hot outside – the inside of the house felt warm too. I moved outside. The unit was dead. The compressor wasn’t running. The fan wasn’t moving. Ugh! I call over to base housing maintenance, and they put in an emergency maintenance request. We should…

Grow! Bible book description: The ESV Grow! Bible is packed with fun and engaging features that help children learn to read Scripture for themselves. From the creation of the world to the return of Jesus, this Bible will help your kids grow up with God’s Word. My Thoughts: The Grow! Bible is a great Bible that bridges the gap between the typical Bible geared towards younger kids and the teenage study Bible. This is a study Bible for younger kids that features lovely illustrations within the text. As is typical with study Bibles, the Grow! Bible has introduction information for…

Sweet Cherry Chicken Salad

Posted in Gluten Free, and Homemaking

Chicken salad is a nice light meal during the summer. You can add in veggies or fruit to give a little extra punch of flavor. Since we had some sweet cherries from our Bountiful Baskets order, I decided that I would make a nice sweet cherry chicken salad for our lunch. Ingredients: 3 cups chopped chicken (use leftover chicken or chicken from a can, whichever you prefer) 1/4 cup diced sweet onion 1/4 cup chopped celery (I like to include some celery leaves) 1/3 cup chopped sweet cherries (use more if you want a more prominent cherry flavor) 1/3 cup…
