As you probably already know, we enjoy the convenience of being able to pick up a Redbox movie either at home or on the road. If you want to make sure that you get that new release when it first comes to Redbox, you may need to do an online reservation. The one drawback with that is that you normally can’t use the coupon codes that they offer via the monthly text messages or as surprises/thank yous here and there. Reserving online saves you a little money if you’re serving a dvd, but blu-ray rental (which we prefer) is the same online or at the kiosk. We tend to just check on our phones using the Redbox app to see if a movie is available and then pick it up.
Currently, Redbox is running the Movie Awards Game promotion on facebook which gives you the opportunity to win free one-day dvd rentals for 3 years. The promotion will be ending February 26, 2012, so head on over and make your picks for the Academy Awards to see if you can win 3 years worth of one-day dvd rentals.
