You may remember from A Doggy Christmas Part 1 that we purchase goodies to put together a new pet owner kit. The original plan was for that kit to be used for a newly adopted dog from the humane society, but as it seems often happens around here, the plan changed. Munchkin decided that she’d really like the kit to go to the dogs at the stable where she volunteers. The dogs are healthy and loved, but Munchkin wants to spoil them with some extras that they don’t have like treats, chewies, and toys.
We put together a kit that included 2 boxes of Milkbone dog treats, a bag of Pup-Peroni dog treats, and a bag of Milo’s Kitchen meatball dog treats.
Since there are 2 dogs, we wanted to make sure that there was double the fun. We included balls in two different sizes, a cute toy, a small rope toy, and some rawhide braids.
We put all of the goodies in a large metal bowl and topped it off with 2 Christmas themed rope toys.
Unfortunately, it’s been raining, so was unable to get any pictures of our 2 recipients, but our dog did decide to get in on the treat action. Once he saw the Milo’s Kitchen treats, he snagged the bag and tried to open it. Being a good pet mommy, I couldn’t not give him any of his favorite treats. lol! I also can’t seem to go into the pet aisle without picking something up for him. **grin**
When I saw the two-headed Angry Birds toy, I knew he had to have it, and he loved it! I always think it’s sweet when he sleeps with his toys.
