I’m pleased to have D doing his first guest post today…
When I first heard of writing about STP’s Multipurpose Motor Treatment I thought it was a good fit as I am always purchasing additives and stabilizers for my toys and vehicles. I had never heard of this product, so I was curious as to what it was. As it turns out, this product can complete several different things:
- fuel system cleaner
- motor oil treatment
- engine flush
- 2 and 4 stroke small engine fuel system cleaner
I am continually purchasing fuel stabilizer for my generators (one for the house and one for the 5th wheel trailer) as they can sit for long periods of time. I also routinely use fuel additives for our vehicles as it helps them maintain a nice clean engine that runs as efficiently as possible, especially as the fuel prices continue to stay high.
It was nice to see that STP has a product that will accomplish both of these tasks and more in one bottle, which makes it really easy to use. I also like the idea of using it in our Polaris RZR as it will sit for a few weeks and I like the idea of the fuel system cleaner already there. I am also looking forward to performing the engine flush the next time I change the oil in my truck. I am very meticulous about maintenance on all our vehicles so I am optimistic that being able to perform an additional step, specifically on my 12 year old truck, will help keep the engine running strong especially when we are off-roading in the middle of nowhere as we like to do.
I plan on using this with my daughter as we work on restoring her project truck. While she may not be a gearhead like me, I definitely believe she can and will benefit from learning the basics of vehicle maintenance, whether it be preventative maintenance like using this product or routine things like changing the oil and replacing other consumables.
