Munchkin was excited about the possibility of doing this review as she currently is thinking about her plans for the future.  When we received the dvd, I popped it into the computer and started printing out the lesson plans, learning objectives (by chapter), course syllabus, and key terms (by chapter).  (You can view these on the computer, but I wanted to have physical copies for Munchkin.)  I had Munchkin look over everything prior to starting the lessons, so she would have a better understanding of the class. Most of us are pretty familiar with both Scrabble and the Rubik’s Cube, but have you heard of the Scruble Cube?  No?  Well, I hadn’t either until I was introduced to it through the Homeschool Crew.  As soon as I saw it, I was intrigued, and I admit, a little intimidated.  Hmmm….  So, not only do I need to come up with words like in Scrabble, but I also need to be able to plan everything out and rotate a cube to be able to score points.  **gulp** Game Play Players take turn forming words on the cube.  The letters…

This picture was taken at the end of a nice horseback ride a couple of weeks ago.  Our ride was covered in a great deal of prayer as Daddy didn’t want to disappoint a very excited young lady who loves horses.  His back pain had kept him from doing much walking just the previous few days, so he was concerned.  The Lord answered prayers by allowing him to join us on this ride. Semper Fidelis: Latin Vocabulary Review Game

We’re having lots of fun learning Latin with Visual Latin, but we still need more review and practice.  I started out making up some vocabulary flash cards and ended up creating a game board with game pieces.  For this game, it’s basically taking normal flashcard review and turning it into a game.  If you get the word correct, they you get to roll the die and move on the game board. I’ve only completed the vocabulary flash cards for Visual Latin lessons 1-10.  I’ll add more cards as I get them completed.  For now, we plan on at least going…
