A New Humidifier

Humidifier

Project 365 – #052

Last week, when we visited our local health food store to pick up some gluten free bread and peanut butter, I saw this lovely looking humidifier.  We were in the market for a new cool mist humidifier because our current warm mist humidifiers just weren’t working for us in this hot climate.   Plus, I had heard that it’s better to use a cool mist humidifier.  The store owners had the humidifier running near the cash register, so I inquired about it.

The cashier informed me that it was an Humio ultrasonic cool mist humidifier with a cool led night lamp, and she happily explained that I could use my essential oils with it.  She told me that they were selling them very quickly, so, unfortunately, they were out of them until the next shipment came in.  I decided to check online to see if I could find one at a reasonable price.

Shortly after this, I received a gift card from CSN stores to do a review of a product on their site.  I decided to check to see if they had the Humio humidifier.  Much to my surprise, they not only had them in stock, but they were also the best price that I could find online or locally. Plus, they were offering free shipping on it.  **grin**  Since this was something that we needed, I decided to use my gift card towards the purchase of the humidifier.

Originally, I had planned on using the humidifier in Munchkin’s room, but it has ended up in the master bedroom due to my illness.  Upon arrival, I filled it up with filtered water, added essential oils, plugged it in, and turned it on.  Munchkin really likes the cool nightlight feature.  It can rotate between colors or stay on a solid color.  If desired, you can turn off the nightlight feature and just use the humidifier.  (You can also use just the nightlight.)

The cool mist immediately starts flowing from the humidifier – unlike our other humidifiers.  The moisture in the air is refreshing rather than making the room feel stuffy.  It’s very quiet, and I don’t have to be concerned with Munchkin getting burned by hot mist.

We liked the humidifier so much that I’ve ordered another one already, so we can have one for the master bedroom and one for Munchkin’s bedroom.  It looks pretty, but even more important, it works really well.

I received a gift card from csnstores. I used that gift card toward the purchase of the above mentioned item. A positive review was not guaranteed. All opinions are my own.

  1. That looks very cool! I think we should be running a humidifier because it’s SO dry in our house this winter. Gracie had the flu yesterday, and followed it up with THREE nosebleeds. I may have to check into this a little more closely. 🙂

    • Munchkin suffers from bloody noses as well. They can be pretty bad. The humidifier is helping.
