Most dvdBetween now and forever lies…the bridge. A powerful and moving film about a man who learns the true meaning of sacrifice. The 2003 Academy Award Nominated live action short Most. MOST is the story of an ordinary man forced to make an extraordinary decision. Shot entirely on location in the Czech Republic and Poland, MOST is a beautiful yet edgy film that draws you in and grabs your heart. In Czech “MOST” means “bridge”. In this film, MOST, simply put, is the bridge between now and forever…lives forever changed.

Most pastors have at some point told the story of the man, his son, the bridge, and the train. The heart wrenching story of a father sacrificing his son is a parable of God the Father and God the Son – the ultimate sacrifice.

This movie is that story in film. The movie gives us glimpses into the father’s heart – his love for his son – his ultimate sacrifice. Because it was filmed in the Czech Republic and Poland, viewers will want to turn on the subtitles.

This short 33-minute film is meant to be used as an outreach tool with the pdf study guide on the disc. Both D and I felt that it would best be used if included in a service as the film itself does not go into the parable aspect.  Due to the nature of the film, it will be difficult for many parents and children to watch.

I received a copy of this dvd to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. All opinions are my own.
