Relaxing with WondaWedge

If you are like me, you are probably wondering what is a WondaWedge?  A WondaWedge is an inflatable indoor/outdoor lounger.  Because it features a lumbar roll, it provides great back support.  Users can adjust the firmness as well as the angle of the wedge to maximize comfort.  The flocked pvc material is easy to clean with soapy water.

When I first saw the WondaWedge, my mind immediately went to the fact that it looked like it would be perfect for tent camping or for use in our trailer.  Since it deflates for easy storage, it takes up very little space.  It could easily be stored in the trailer or placed in a backpack.  I was thinking about using it in the tent and/or trailer to allow us to sit up with a nice back support.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to test it out while we were camping because we didn’t go out camping during the review period.

Once we received it, I immediately inflated it and started to think of all of the possibilities for use.  It would be so nice for use on the beach when I wanted to sit there and read.  As I was thinking about it, Munchkin snagged it and plopped down with it in the living room to use while watching a movie.  She really liked ground sheet which kept the WondaWedge from moving when she leaned back against it. Her only complaint was that she wished the ground sheet was a little longer.

Since I wanted to test it out as well, I made her move on over.  I tried out the 3 different angles for the WondaWedge – sitting upright, lumbar roll (back-support), and reclining.  Each were comfortable and definitely had their own uses depending on the application for which you wanted to use the WondaWedge.

A little later in the evening, we all decided that we wanted to play a few games on the Wii.  D’s back was bothering him, so I suggested that he use the WondaWedge to give him some support while he sat on the floor to play.  He didn’t know if it would be comfortable or if it would hurt is back more, but he gave it a try.  He quickly decided that it was rather comfortable, and it gave him much needed support.  Needless to say, he ended up keeping it the whole time we played that evening.

Since that first evening, Munchkin had used it in bed when she wants to be able to comfortably sit up.  We’ve all used it in the living room while watching tv or playing games.  I’ve used it to relax and read.  It’s light-weight and easily portable, so we just move it from room to room as needed.

We are all very impressed with the WondaWedge, and we will probably end up wanting more than just one WondaWedge at our house. I’m looking forward to using it while we’re camping as that was what originally lead me to want to test it out.  It’s not always easy to get comfortable in a tent or while sitting in a trailer bed.  This would give us the much desired back-support.
