Collectorz: Book Database Software
Keeping track of all of your books just got a lot easier. I’ve been guilty of purchasing the same book twice when I didn’t remember that we already had the book. You see, I’m a book junky. We have bookcases all over the place in our house. The movers? Well, they hate us due to the large number of books they get to move for us. Now, to be fair, D and I have moved all of those books ourselves, so we do know what we’re asking of them. **grin**
Needless to say, I was rather excited when I learned that we would be getting to review the book database software by Collectorz. As soon as I downloaded the software, I started grabbing the books that were around me. We won’t talk about how many I was able to input without having to go very far. I was pleased with how easy it was to input the books into the database. I just typed in the ISBNs for the books and all of the book’s details were filled in for me. (You can also scan the ISBN barcode with an optional scanner or type in the book title and author.)
Generally, inputting books would go much faster using the scanner method, but since I didn’t have one, I just typed away. If I would have been thinking more, I would have used a regular keyboard with a number pad for quicker data entry. (I was using my laptop which doesn’t have a number pad.)
Now, I can check to see which books I have by easily searching the database. I haven’t even come close to finishing entering all of my books nor have I had to the chance to get everything organized into categories. Some day, I will get all of that done. For now, I’m entering books here and there.
One final feature that I think is worth noting is the ability to easily catalog both E-books and audio books.
Collectorz: Book Database Software is available for both PC and MAC. In addition, they have an online version and mobile app version. Collectorz offers a free trial of their software which is limited to 100 books. The Collectorz: Book Database Software Pro version is available for purchase for $49.95.
I received a copy of the Collectorz: Book Database Pro Software as a member of the TOS Crew to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. I was not compensated for the writing of this post. All opinions are my own.
