“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
The older Munchkin gets, the more I realize that I need to lead more by example and not just in words. I need to make sure she understands what we believe and why we believe it. I am trying to teach her to not only hide God’s Word in her heart, but also dig into the Word to gain a better understanding of all that is being presented to us as Christians.
Not only do I need to train her up in spiritual matters, but I also need to prepare her to become a beautiful, capable young lady who knows how to take care of herself and a home. I need to teach her to cook, clean, and run an efficient household. We also need to instruct her in how to take care of household maintenance and vehicle maintenance.
We want our “little girl” to be beautiful on both the inside and the outside. We want her to grow up to love the Lord with all of her heart, mind, and soul. Lord willing, Munchkin will grow up to be an amazing, Godly woman with a heart for the Lord. That is our prayer. That is our mission.
Beautiful post!

She is already very beautiful on the outside and with a mom like you training her, I am sure she is just as beautiful on the inside. Beautiful post 🙂
Oh Heather, she is a beautiful little girl & I have no doubt that she will grow into a beautiful young woman! I just love that picture of her, even her eyes are smiling! I hope that you have a great night & that you “get to bed early” hehe!! God Bless 🙂
