Bible Studies

As I wrote about a couple of weeks ago, one of the new things that we’ve added to Munchkin’s studies recently is the Keepers of the Faith: Keepers at Home program.  We’re still working on various details and figuring out exactly how we want to implement the program into our schedule, but slowing, the pieces are falling into place.  As part of the program, Munchkin will be working on Bible and character studies.  Using some resources I found online, I assembled 3 different workbooks to get her started.

Currently, Munchkin is working on the Proverbs 31 study.  I’ve included some Proverbs 31 cursive copywork that I found inexpensively at currclick.  I also included a Far Above Rubies study, a Modesty study, a Purity study, a Friends study, and a Gossip study to round out the Proverbs 31 workbook.  You can find these studies for free at the Christian Teen Shop.

As a family, we’ve started working on the Faith workbook.  It contains a study on Faith as well as a study on Faith Stealers.  Once again, these studies were found at the Christian Teen Shop.

The other workbook I put together is a Bible Study workbook.  It contains units for Bible reading, Scripture memory, Prayer, the Beatitudes, the Fruit of the Spirit, the Ten Commandments, and Proverbs.  Each of the units is based upon the free studies from the Christian Teen Shop.  Munchkin may work on this at the same time as the Proverbs 31 study, or she may decide to wait until she completes the Proverbs 31 study.  I’m leaving that up to her.  Some of the items in this workbook lend themselves to doing simultaneously with another study.

Some of these studies are geared towards teens (such as the Purity study), but most are geared towards girls 9-12+.  While the Far Above Rubies study and the Modesty study are just for girls, the other studies could also be used for boys.  I may end up doing some of these studies myself.  Either way, Munchkin and I will be discussing what she is learning during the studies.
