End of Year Testing 2010

Flowering Plant

Today is Munchkin’s end of year testing.  While we are not required by Arizona state law to perform the testing, we have chosen to do it anyway.  I am able to administer the test at home, so we don’t have to go anywhere for the actual test.  Munchkin seriously dislikes taking standardized tests, but I feel it’s important for her to get use to the concept.

Munchkin and Bee

Right now, we’re taking a lunch break, so Munchkin is outside eating lunch with her friend.  (It’s so nice to have fellow homeschoolers who live next door.)  It’s an absolutely beautiful day, so I was more than happy to allow her to have an impromptu picnic lunch.  (Notice Munchkin’s lovely face. She did not want me taking her picture. lol! She flashed me a beautiful smile as soon as I was done taking pictures. Crazy child.)

Flowering Tree

While I was out snapping a picture of Munchkin’s picnic, I decided to take a few pictures of the flowering plants in our yard.  I’m sure the flowers won’t be around much longer.  It seems like as soon as summer hits many of the flowers die.  Since we weren’t living here at this time last year, it’s fun seeing all of the different colors.

Soon, I need to go snag Munchkin, so she can finish up today’s testing.  For now, I’ll let her enjoy the beautiful weather for just a little longer….
