My Thoughts:
I have read a good bit about the holocaust over the years, but I had never heard about it from the viewpoint of a non-Jewish child. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, these diaries from Nonna. I am grateful that she decided to share these personal stories and memories with us. It was wonderful to read how her faith allowed her to get through such horrific times, and then later, her faith allowed her to have a beautiful adult life. The editors and Nonna’s family did a wonderful job supplying additional information that helped gain a better understanding and/or clarification of various things throughout the book.
I highly recommend this book to those who would like to see the holocaust through different eyes.
