My Thoughts:
In Never Blame the Umpire, readers enter the world of a young girl who is facing the loss of her mother to cancer. We follow her journey through the grief process and through the internal struggle with why God has allowed this to happen.
The book covers subjects that may be difficult for some kids (death and cancer). Since the book reads from the viewpoint of a young girl, this may make the subject easier for kids to understand. This thought provoking book is a good read for it’s target range of 9-12 year olds.
I received a copy of Never Blame the Umpire for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
