1st Game of the 2010 Baseball Season

The baseball season has officially begun.  We’ve been having practices for the past 2 weeks, but this week was the first game.  D is coaching, and I’m helping him out.  We also have several other parents that are helping with the team.  I’m thrilled with the group of kids on our team, and with the parents who are actively involved.  What a huge blessing! This year is a bit different for us.  In the past, we played in a HUGE homeschool league.  This year, we’re playing in the base league.  We have 2 teams, so we’ll be playing the same…

Wupatki National Monument

While we were camping near the Grand Canyon we decided to take advantage of our location, and we went to see the Wupatki National Monument.  You saw a glimpse of the ruins at the monument on my Wordless Wednesday post. One of the really fun things about this National Park area was that you could actually go into many of the different ruins.  Some areas were marked with do not enter or do not walk here signs.  They tried to have these signs blend with the natural surroundings, so the notices were painted on rocks.
