We enjoy watching Shark Week on the Discovery Channel every year. Sunday begins Shark Week for this year. Instead of just watching, we decided to make a mini unit study out of it. Munchkin is really into sharks; she has been since she was quite little. My sister was really into sharks growing up, so I’m use to the shark frenzy. I have to admit that sharks are quite intriguing. Blueberry Freezer Jam & Blueberry Pie Recipes

Blueberry Freezer Jam Ingredients: 2 cups crushed blueberries (approximately 2 pints whole) 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 4 cups sugar 1 pouch (3 oz) certo liquid pectin Directions: Wash and rinse containers for jam. Wash and crush berries, one cup at a time. Place 2 cups berries in bowl and stir in 4 cups sugar. Mix well. Let stand for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Stir pectin into lemon juice in different bowl. Stir pectin mixture into berry mixture. Stir constantly until all sugar is dissolved. Pour into prepared containers. Leave 1/2 inch space at top for expansion during freezing. Let stand…

Yum! Blueberries

All Posters: Blueberries Just Picked On the way home from our trip, we stopped and picked up 10 pounds of freshly picked blueberries. I knew that Munchkin would have fun munching on them while we were on the road. All Posters: A Book with Glasses Left on Bed After a wonderful vacation (and long drive home), there is nothing more welcoming than curling up in the comfort of your own bed… We had a lovely time with family. It was a long trip there and back, but it was worth the drive.
