Lowes Build & Grow Clinics

Every other Saturday, Lowes hosts a free Build & Grow Clinic for kids. The kids get to build different projects (for free). They are given safety goggles, an apron, and the project. Upon completion of the project, they receive a certificate of completion and a patch to put on their apron. This month, they are featuring a Memory Box (for Mother’s Day) on May 10th and a See It Grow Planter on May 24th. We usually just pick ours up and take them with us. Honoring a Fallen Marine

On Monday, April 21, 2008, 1st Lt. Matthew Vandegrift, USMC, 28, was killed during combat operations in Basra. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Matthew Vandegrift grew up in Austin, Texas, and graduated with honors in 2005 from Texas A&M University with a degree in international business. His family, of Littleton, said he loved hanging out with friends, playing video games and watching movies. He also had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh… …His family is relying on their Christian faith…
