Creation Museum

Posted in Family, and Homeschooling

We took the opportunity to head over to the Creation Museum while we were on our trip. Munchkin has been wanting to go as she heard about it (prior to it even opening), so she was thrilled that we would finally be able to go. My Dad, Stepmom, and niece joined us on our journey.

We arrived at the hotel on Friday evening, and the girls immediately begged to go swimming. Off to the pool we went for a little swimming before bed.

In the morning, we got up and headed for the museum. We were delighted from the time that we arrived. Dinosaurs and Bible stories came to life as we walked through the museum.

We watched Adam name all of the animals (including dinosaurs). We listened and watched the story of Cain and Abel come to life.

We experienced the building of Noah’s ark and the flood.

We ate lunch at Noah’s Cafe and then headed to the Dinosaur’s Den.

The girls took a ride on a dinosaur.

We saw many inspiring films throughout the day. The salvation message is tied in to the stories and messages you hear all through the museum. We have already decided that we will be heading back here when D gets home. He has to experience it himself. The pictures just don’t do it justice. Of course, we couldn’t leave without heading to the bookstore!

We had a wonderful day. I highly recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to go!!
