Tackle It Tuesday: Errands

Posted in Homemaking

Today is errand day. Things we need pick up: Stocking stuffers Sheets for D (love ya, hun!) Ear drops for Munchkin Books/videos from library Vacuum belt Things we need to get done: Vacuum the house Bake cookies Make peanut butter balls Schoolwork, including Christmas lapbook Take our furry friend to the vet for shots Take D’s package to post office Not a very exciting day, but it needs to get done. We may not get all of the baking done today, so that’s actually a “get done this week” type thing.

Our Tree and My Little Santa

Posted in Family, Holidays, and Thoughts

I had purchased some red fleece a while back for something (I don’t remember what), so I decided to make Munchkin some new pjs. Once I had the pjs made, Munchkin said that they looked like a Santa outfit except they didn’t have white. I pulled out some white scraps that we had and put on the cuffs. Munchkin loved her new cozy pjs and felt all set for Christmas. On Thanksgiving Day, I put up the Christmas tree (pre-lit), but I didn’t get the decorations down. By that point, I wasn’t feeling very well, so we cuddled a bit…

Our Thanksgiving Feast

The turkey looks huge for just the 2 of us, and it was. We have lots of leftover turkey for the freezer for future use. We realized today that we forgot the cranberry sauce, so Munchkin decided to have some today. We had a good day even though we were missing a very important person. We thank God that he was able to enjoy a good meal even though he wasn’t here.
