Season of Thanksgiving

Today, the cool winds of fall started blowing and the tempertures began falling. As we sat inside, we were grateful for the warmth of the house. As we stepped outside to head to soccer practice, we were grateful for the warmth of our clothes. We watched as people shivered as they waited for the bus or walked to the store. Fall Fun

On Wednesday, we headed over to Trader Joes to pick up some goodies to send to D. When we arrived, we found out that they were having some fun activities for Halloween. First, Munchkin had to search for the treasure chest in the store to get a prize. It took some hunting, but she found it! Then, she had to pick out which jack-o-lantern she liked the best. (Each employee had carved a jack-o-lantern for the contest.) And last, but certainly not least, they supplied a pumpkin for Munchkin to paint. What a nice little distraction for the day… Later…

Yummy! I love pumpkin pies, pumpkin roll, and pumpkin whoopie pies… I also really enjoy carving pumpkins even though we weren’t able to do it this year.
