Interesting Conversations

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

Munchkin was having a good time playing in the dirt. So much fun, that honestly, she reminded me of these elephants rolling around in the dirt and throwing it up in the air. Needless to say, she was covered in dirt when this conversation took place.
Me: “Would you like to help me plant these veggies?”
Munchkin: “Sure, but would you move the dirt, so I can just set them in. Then you can put the dirt over them?”
Me: “Why?”
Munchkin: “Because I don’t want to get dirty.”

A few days earlier, this conversation took place.

Munchkin: “Mommy, do you think that you could live without technology?”
Me: “Yes, but it would be hard.”
Munchkin: “Yes, you wouldn’t be able to talk to anyone anymore because you wouldn’t have your cell phone or computer.”

Yet another conversation:
Munchkin: “Mommy, you look like you need to take a nap.”
Me: “Well, I could use a nap. I am quite tired.”
Munchkin: “Go to bed, Mommy. I can take care of things.”
Me: “Ok.” I go to try to rest. Only a few seconds later…
Munchkin: “Mommy, I’m tired of taking care of things. Can you help me….”

So much for the nap. 😉
