Tuesday’s Happenings

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

Well, my little girl is still sick, so we didn’t get as much done as planned. I did run her over to Pizza Hut to redeem her Book It! certificate at Pizza Hut. (You know, earn free personal pan pizza for reading a certain number of books during the month.) We also picked up a few things from freecycle. 5 HUGE (50 envelopes each) boxes of hot chocolate and a wood/canvas laundry sorter for Michelle’s room. Gotta love freebies!

I received my china protectors in the mail today (these are thanks to a gift certificate that I received for Christmas). We’re currently not using our regular dishes as we’re all Tupperware for now, so I wanted to put away the pieces that we’re not using. Plus, they always get broken in the move. Hopefully, the will protect them a little more. I still need to figure out a way to store the other pieces, but I’m sure we’ll figure out something. I put these in one of my Mom’s old trunks. Love those for storage! I’m thinking I might use the other trunk for blanket storage at the new house. We’ll need to do some re-figuring for different things, and I think that would be a great use of the space.

I’m trying to plan ahead more before the move this time. I don’t want to be moving a lot of stuff that we don’t need/want. Last move was a bit crazy, but I think this move will be much easier if all goes as planned. I’m also trying to plan out the space a bit more, so we’ll know as much as possible about placement before we move in. Obviously, we’ll have to play around with things a bit once everything gets in there, but we’ll at least know basically where things will be going. Another good thing is that I’ll be able to get the house painted before we move everything in which is so much easier.

Well, I really should get back to sorting. Just wanted to do a quick update on what’s happening today.
