We had a wonderful Christmas and really enjoyed our time in Michigan with the family. We ended up coming home a bit earlier than planned due to some truck issues that D was having. Unfortunately, things haven’t gotten better in that department, so we’re really relying on the Lord to take care of the finances with the upcoming closing on the house. It will also be nice to have his truck up and running, so I can get my Suburban back!!! The weather has been quite chilly, so D hasn’t been able to ride his motorcycle to work. Thankfully, most of our activities the last week or so have been in the evenings after D arrived home.
Little Song Bird is doing well in school. She’s still trying to adjust after the break, but we’re plugging along. We’re assuming that things are going to get a bit crazy towards the move, so we’re trying to get as much done now while things are “tame”. We’ll have so many wonderful places to visit after the move too!! As always, she’s growing like a weed. Between her and D, our groceries don’t stay in the house very long.
D is doing well is school. Today they had a “field trip” to Norfolk, so he’ll be getting back late. He has a test tomorrow, but he does have a long weekend. We’ll enjoy having that extra day with him. Hopefully, he’ll be able to get his truck repaired on Friday after work, so we can actually spend time together. All his spare time lately has been spent working on his truck, so we’re missing our family time.
I’m keeping busy trying to organize and re-organize the house. We’re downsizing, so a lot of stuff will need to go before we move. Ironically, it’s been quite relaxing thus far. I’m also boxing up some of the things that I don’t want the movers to pack. I figure doing a little at a time is better than trying to get everything done at the last minute. D laughs at me since we do have time before the move, but he also likes the fact that the house is emptying out. lol!
Well, I should stop gabbing and get us some supper. I’ll try to keep this up to date a bit better. lol!
