Kitchen Table Bakers offers a full line of crisps that are made entirely of Parmesan cheese. These wheat, gluten, sugar, and trans fat free crisps are rich in calcium and protein but low in carbs.
I really like Parmesan cheese, so these crisps are perfect for me. I was able to try out the aged Parmesan mini crisps as well as the sesame Parmesan crisps.
The aged Parmesan mini crisps won the gold sofi (specialty outstanding food innovation) award in 2009. I can see why as they are delicious. The sharp aged Parmesan flavor works well in this mini crisp. I enjoyed the bite of the aged Parmesan, but D felt it was a bit too strong for him. I believe he would have enjoyed them more if they had been paired with hot soup.
The 3″ sesame Parmesan crisps are flavorful. The sesame seeds added to the Parmesan crisps add another depth of flavor and texture. These remind me of a cross between a light cracker and a delicate chip.
Both of these crisps are definitely a high end snack. The original 3″ crisps come in 8 different flavors. If you are unable to find these crisps in your local store, you can purchase them online.
I am pleased to be able to offer one of my readers the opportunity to try out Kitchen Table Bakers for themselves.
