WFW: Sweet like the Honeycomb

Sweet Like a Honeycomb

Sweet Like a Honeycomb

This week, I am striving to have my words be sweet like the honeycomb.  I am seeking to be pleasing in the sight of the Lord.  My desire is to have a wise heart and sweetness of the lips. (Proverbs 16:21)

I have a little tapestry in my hall that this reminds me of. I want my words to be sweet to!

Amen to that! My own lips are not so seasoned with grace at times (cuss words slip at bad drivers, stubbing a toe, etc.) and that’s something I’m striving hard to work on. Thank you for a great verse as a reminder! :-)

We used to have trays of honeycomb in the house and it was so nice to take a piece and chew away at it. Such wonderful skill in the work of the bees and the sweetness of the honey.
He is sweeter than the honey……Praise Him.

I also was a little bad when I helped Dad to get the trays out….I had the smoke blower……it used to be about one blow to protect Dad and two to protect me………he never got bitten but I was not taking risks…..LOL.
That was a long long time ago.
I had to have a hive taken from my compost bin in the early years of my living here…..it was in my vegetable garden……back in the days when we had normal rain and could water.

It is so easy to say things that aren’t sweet! :(
