Gratituesday: Unexpected Surprises

Gratituesday

Click to visit Heavenly Homemakers

As we were coming home from our little desert outing on Sunday, we saw this big hot air balloon floating ahead of us.  The closer we got to home, the more we realized that it was going to go right over our house!  Now, keep in mind that we live in base housing, so having non-military aircraft (even a hot air balloon) go over our house is not the norm.

As soon as we pulled near the house, Munchkin and I hopped out of the truck.  I had my camera in hand as the balloon went over our head.  All of our neighbors were out with their cameras.  Kids were pointing and squealing with delight.

Hot Air Balloon

The hot air balloon started to descend at a fast pace.  It looked like it was going to have to land in the field where Munchkin plays here soccer games, but it made it across the street before it landed.  What joy and delight can come from something as simple as a hot air balloon sighting.

So, today, I am very grateful for those unexpected surprises in life that bring great happiness.  Have you experienced any unexpected surprises recently?
