Meal Plan Monday

Posted in Homemaking

I do my meal plans a little different than many. I prefer to have a list of items (usually on a dry erase board in the kitchen) that we will have to eat for supper during the week. Each day, I pick out what we’ll be having from that list based upon what is going on that day.
Here’s the menu for this week:

2. Grilled Cheese and Soup
3. Spaghetti
4. Steak with veggies
5. Loaded Potatoes
6. Tacos

Is the cheesesteaks a tried recipe or a new one – I would be interested in this one if you wouldn’t mind sharing! Hope you have a great week.

The Cheesesteaks are super easy and a favorite around here. I’ll post the recipe on the blog.

I may assign a particular meal to a day, but they do get shifted around a lot. I understand the list. It would make lots of sense in my house when I plan and shop and hubby does a lot of the cooking if I don’t use the crockpot or make it ahead. So ultimately he often decides what to make before I get home.

    I like your white-board method.

I love using the dry-erase board so the whole family knows what to expect for the week. It also allows my daughter to help me decide what’s for dinner.
