Daddy Daughter Day

Today has ended up being a Daddy Daughter Day at our house. I’m in bed with a stomache bug of some sort. Yuck! They started off the day with some leftover pancakes from Daddy’s cooking session yesterday. (He always makes extras, so we can have them during the week.) After breakfast, they have watched The Living Bible: John. It’s basically a verse by verse portrayal of the book of John. They had in previous weeks watched The Living Bible: Acts. They both really enjoy these. Sometimes they follow along in the Bible and sometimes they just watch. John was a 3 hour dvd. They watched part of it this morning. Took a break for lunch (leftover pizza). Then, watched the rest of it after lunch. Currently, they’re over at they gym playing basketball. Yesterday, they headed over there, but it was closed. They ended up coming home and just shooting around. (We have a portable hoop in the backyard that we got from freecycle, just no court or pavement). They really enjoy these special times together.
