Last week, we had a crazy busy week due to daytime Vacation Bible School on base. Munchkin had a wonderful time even with the few bumps she encountered along the way. The week ended with a final closing ceremony where the kids recited their verses and sang the songs that they had learned during the week. The handful of kids who learned all of their verses for the week received a can of root beer at the pizza party. For some, this may not seem like much, but for my kiddo, she thought it was great. Fighting to Stay Healthly
Posted in Family
The flu bug is making it’s way around the base. Friends and co-workers have come down with a bad case of the stomach flu. Yuck! I’ve been feeling under the weather, and I can feel myself getting sick. I’m making sure that I’m getting extra sleep and eating good, healthy foods. Due to not staying up later, I am quite behind on many things including reviews and blog reading. Hopefully, after the holiday weekend, I’ll be able to get back on track. Thank you for being patient with me. Also, please pray that our friends will feel better quickly, and…
Final Thoughts on VBS

This week at VBS was a roller-coaster of up and down moments. We were blessed with the opportunity to reach out to our kids from ages 4 to 11. We got to know the kids on a more personal level, and we were sad to see the week end. Yes, it was very tiring, but it was a blessing. (Thank you for all of the prayers. They helped!!!!) On Friday night, I watched 2 young boys grow. One little one came out of his shell and joined in with the activities. The other wrote a card that said, “I love…

I may be short on posting and visiting blogs this week as we have VBS each evening. This year’s theme is High Seas, so we’re going on a cruise. **grin** Munchkin has invited a bunch of friends, so it will be interesting to see who all is able to make it throughout the week. D will be scrambling to make it home on time for us to head over to the church. I’m sure there will be nights that he’ll have to meet us over there. I need to get some snacks together for Munchkin as she usually can’t have…
Random Thoughts

My mind is jumping all over the place today, so I figured I would just post one of my random thoughts posts instead of trying to sort out everything. **grin** I’ll also be posting random pictures from our camping trip within this crazy, random post. Soon, I’ll be embarking on my 2nd year with the TOS Crew. You might have seen the new button that I created on my sidebar. There are several things that will be different with my voyage this year, but I’ll write a little more about that later. For now, I’m just getting everything ready and…
