It’s been a bit of a crazy week already at the horse rescue, and it’s only Tuesday when I’m writing this. Monday morning found us back at the ranch ready to get back to work. Munchkin thought that she’d be fostering Sadie, but over the weekend, Sadie was adopted by a really great family which is wonderful news for Sadie. Thankfully, we had talked about this possibility prior to arriving at the ranch, so while she was disappointed, it wasn’t a huge let down. It’s funny, we had all of these great plans for Munchkin when we arrived here, but it turns out that the Lord had even better plans for her. You see, we had planned on paying for her to take riding lessons, and I was in the process of getting more information when I found a local horse rescue. I called the owner up to talk to her about volunteer opportunities and ended up walking away from the call super excited as this place was just what Munchkin needed. Munchkin really enjoys horseback riding, and she certainly loves horses. A good bit of her time is spent learning about horses and playing with her Schleich horses. Yes, D’s horse is a bit small for him, and his stirrups were more than a tad short. lol! Poor guy.
