Buffalo Guys Jerky Giveaway

Posted in Gluten Free, and Military Life

D really enjoys jerky, but it’s not easy to find jerky that is good and gluten free.  When I found out that Buffalo Guys had a gluten free jerky, I knew that I wanted to check them out.  I was pleased to see that not only did they have gluten free buffalo jerky, but they also supported our troops.  I love that!  I was excited to be able to sample some of their jerky. The jerky was full a flavor.  It was chewy and not tough.  Neither Munchkin nor I are real big jerky eaters, but we both thought these…

Foods Should Taste Good Giveaway

Posted in Gluten Free, and Reviews

Pete Lescoe, founder and CEO of Foods Should Taste Good, wanted to create a wholesome, natural chip that was full of flavor. All chip varieties are gluten free, cholesterol free, have no trans fats and do not use genetically modified ingredients (GMOs). They are also certified Kosher, low in sodium and are a good source of dietary fiber. The chips combine the crunchiness of a chip, the crispiness of a cracker, and the dippability of a tortilla chip. We received coupons to try out some of the Foods Should Taste Good chips.  We checked to see where we could purchase…

Sahale Snacks

Sahale Snacks is dedicated to producing natural, gourmet snacks.  They want people to learn to “snack healthy”.  Sahale Snacks contain no artificial preservatives or flavorings.  They are free from corn syrup or other highly processed sweeteners.  Their nuts are dry roasted in an oven instead of being being cooked in oil. Sahale Snacks is not a gluten free company because they produce one line of snack, Sing Buri Nut Blend, that is not gluten free.  This particular snack is made with soy sauce that contains wheat.  Sahale Snacks performs a deep cleanse of their lines in between batches. We were…

Healthy Snacking with Kitchen Table Bakers Giveaway

Posted in Gluten Free, and Reviews

Kitchen Table Bakers offers a full line of crisps that are made entirely of Parmesan cheese.  These wheat, gluten, sugar, and trans fat free crisps are rich in calcium and protein but low in carbs. I really like Parmesan cheese, so these crisps are perfect for me.  I was able to try out the aged Parmesan mini crisps as well as the sesame Parmesan crisps. The aged Parmesan mini crisps won the gold sofi (specialty outstanding food innovation) award in 2009.  I can see why as they are delicious.  The sharp aged Parmesan flavor works well in this mini crisp. …

Baking with Wilton Giveaway

Posted in Homemaking, and Reviews

I grew up baking with Wilton products as that is what my mom always had for me to use.  I now have my mom’s Wilton cake pans and decorating tips along with ones that I’ve purchased myself.  Munchkin is growing up using Wilton products and will one day have her own Wilton set.  When I received the opportunity to try out some different Wilton baking/cooking products, I was thrilled.  Knowing that I cook and bake gluten free, I was sent the Cyclone wisk, the Pastry Blender, the Cake Lifter, and the Baker’s Blade. The Cake Lifter was by far my…
