About Marichaels: Two friends reunited after 25 years with the same dreams of owning and operating their own food establishment. Marina is Gluten Free with a love of baking, and Michael has a  background in the food industry and marketing.  Together, they created Marichaels (mir-i-kel). To them, it was a miracle to be reconnected and to work together. They hope that their products will make your Gluten and Wheat Free living much better tasting. Bagels are one of the main things that I really miss due to being gluten free.  I quickly realized that I needed to learn that gluten…

Posted in Gluten Free, Military Life, and Reviews

Storehouse Foods offers high quality, freeze-dried food systems with options for budgets of all sizes and expert advice on emergency preparedness. I was thrilled to find that they also offer a complete line of gluten free products. While I do believe it’s important to have products on hand for emergencies, my motive behind wanting these products has more to do with having easy to prepare and transport foods for D when he’s away at training or on deployments. We were given the opportunity to try out some of their gluten free products. When they arrived, D informed me that he…

It’s an excellent, source of fiber, calcium and iron. The cereal also contains dates and almonds for…

Buffalo Guys Jerky Giveaway

Posted in Gluten Free, and Military Life

D really enjoys jerky, but it’s not easy to find jerky that is good and gluten free.  When I found out that Buffalo Guys had a gluten free jerky, I knew that I wanted to check them out.  I was pleased to see that not only did they have gluten free buffalo jerky, but they also supported our troops.  I love that!  I was excited to be able to sample some of their jerky. The jerky was full a flavor.  It was chewy and not tough.  Neither Munchkin nor I are real big jerky eaters, but we both thought these…
