This week, we headed to the library (at the last minute) to see a presentation on reptiles. The kids thought it was great that they actually got to touch the snakes, but they were bummed that they couldn’t touch the scorpions and tarantulas. I wasn’t able to snap a picture of Munchkin petting the snake due to how they did the line for the “snake petting”. Today, our base homeschool group was treated to a fabulous K-9 demonstration. The field trip began with the sound of sirens. A police vehicle was chasing down a pick-up that wouldn’t stop. Field Trip: Saihati Camel Farm

We enjoy getting to know a new area by going exploring. When we read that we would be able to go to a working camel farm, Munchkin was pretty excited. The only problem was that we had to wait until October as they are closed to the public during the summer months. This weekend, the wait was finally over as the camel farm was open.
