Life Without Internet

Posted in Family, and Homesteading

Munchkin and I have been without internet for nearly a week. For me, it’s been a little frustrating at times as there have been things that I wanted to get done, but, at the same time, it’s been a rather productive week without the distraction that the internet can bring with it. (I did have access to my email on my phone, so I did my best to stay somewhat on top of that at least.) Munchkin, on the other hand, didn’t miss having internet at all which surprised me. Rain + Desert = Flash Flooding

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

Remember the pictures of D helping the girls with climbing at the rock wall? Well, while we were finishing up, we heard the rain begin to fall. We ran over to the exchange to pick up a couple of souvenirs for the girls as this was their last…

Frozen Yogurt and Snow in the Desert

While we don’t get snow here, I thought it would be fun for the girls to make some snow in the desert using some dollar store kits. They ended up adding all of their snow together and mixing in some ice. They had fun playing…

Bowl Game Fun

Munchkin had never been to a live football game, so we thought it would be fun to go as a family. She wasn’t overly excited at first, but once we arrived at the game, everything changed. We were fortunate to be able to get free tickets through Veteran Tickets Foundation who give out a massive number of free tickets to vets and their families throughout the…
