On Wednesday, despite Munchkin feeling a bit under the weather, we were able to hike most of the Rim Trail. Such beautiful sights to be seen. We also saw some wildlife this time around. The most exciting thing that we saw was Elk along the hiking trail. Munchkin really liked the HUGE crows that we saw flying everywhere. When Munchkin got too tired to walk any more, we hopped on the shuttle bus. It was another lovely day.

I’m so excited! We are finally on our way to the Grand Canyon. We have planned to go more than once since we moved to Arizona this past summer, but it never worked out. After some other tentative plans fell through, we decided to head there this week. I scrambled around and found a campground for us to stay at (in our travel trailer). This morning, we headed out to the Yuma Air Show. It’s nice because it’s right here on base. Plus, D was able to drive us right over to the entrance. Munchkin and I walked around and looked at everything. D was working, so he was only able to walk with us for a few minutes before he took us back home. Munchkin and I are spending the rest of the day relaxing while D is working. It’s never fun when D has to work on the weekends, but thankfully, it doesn’t happen that often these days. I know that I haven’t been blogging much this week other than recipes and reviews/giveaways. It’s been a busy week. Plus, we’ve been enjoying the beautiful weather. We’re taking advantage of these warm days before the summer heat sets in. I’ve been spending less time on the computer and more time doing other things. I just needed a bit of a break. Munchkin had a blast at her 50s night at Awana. She and her friends enjoy their time there each Wednesday night. Next week is movie night. They’ll be watching a movie and having snacks. Munchkin volunteered me to make cookies. I told her that next time she needs to ask me first. lol! On Friday afternoon, we picked D up from the airport. It’s nice to have him home.
