March Madness

Posted in Family, and Photography

Project 365 – #060 It’s hard to believe that it’s already the first of March.  We’re 60 days into the new year.  Two months have come and gone.  February was a bit of a crazy month for us; it will be interesting to see what this new month holds for us. I’m 60 days into the Mommytography 365 Project for 2011.  What I’ve learned so far is there is some incredible talent out there in the blogosphere.  A photographer I am not – at least, not yet – maybe someday.  I very much enjoy taking pictures and capturing moments in…

In My Footsteps

Project 365 – #059 When I was younger, I had many different dreams of what I wanted to be when I grew up.  Everything revolved around animals.  I adored animals – especially dogs.  I was one of those kids who would go up to any dog – stray or not – and try to pet it.  This didn’t go away as I got older.  Even after having been bit, I had no fear of dogs.  I thought it would be great to be a vet and take care of animals. As time went along, I found that I wasn’t all…

Mommy and Me Time

Project 365 – #057 As Munchkin grows older, I’m seeing more and more how important it is for us to have “mommy and me” time. Typically, when I hear Mommy and Me, I think of something for younger kids, but the reality is that older kids need that special one-on-one time just as much as the younger kids.  In fact, I think to some degree they may actually need it more.  They need to know that although they are growing older they can be secure in the love of their parents. The importance of nurturing a healthy relationship and encouraging…

Praising God in Everything

Project 365 – #056 I know that my encouraging word post concerned several people, so I wanted to make sure that everyone knows that we’re doing okay.  Yes, it’s been a crazy month here.  Yes, there have been several very frustrating days.  Illness for extended periods of time is conducive to frayed nerves and lack of patience.  I think the extra concern about us stems from the fact that I don’t normally focus on the negative aspects of life.  Why?  Honestly, because I try not to dwell on the bad as that doesn’t lend itself to any good. Sometimes, it’s…

A New Humidifier

Posted in Family, Photography, and Reviews

Project 365 – #052 Last week, when we visited our local health food store to pick up some gluten free bread and peanut butter, I saw this lovely looking humidifier.  We were in the market for a new cool mist humidifier because our current warm mist humidifiers just weren’t working for us in this hot climate.   Plus, I had heard that it’s better to use a cool mist humidifier.  The store owners had the humidifier running near the cash register, so I inquired about it. The cashier informed me that it was an Humio ultrasonic cool mist humidifier with a…
