We woke to a warm, windy day. The trees were swaying to and fro. Dust devils swirled around. The sun’s heat baked the red dirt on the baseball field. The soft billowy breeze gave some reprieve from the heat of the sun beating down on the players and fans. Shade was scarce. Water was dearly needed. The teams battled back and forth to the very end. Hands were shaken. Congrats were given. More than one person walked away a little pink or red and feeling rather parched. The cool ac welcomed us home. The icy water refreshed our parched lips. …
