Driving through Kofa

Project 365 – #102 On Saturday, we headed over to Kofa National Wildlife Refuge.  We wanted to do a little exploring in some of the areas where we hadn’t gone previously.  We’re trying to fit in a few more fun family outings before D’s surgery right after Easter. We had fun taking pictures and just looking at all of the beautiful scenery. The gorgeous fluffy white clouds against the brilliant blue skies were breath-taking. We even saw some interesting clouds.  We thought this one looked like a funny face.  What do you think?

A Sunday Drive

Project 365 – #101 On Sunday afternoon, we decided to go out for a nice drive.  Our first destination plan was Martinez Lake as we had never headed over there.  Upon arrival, we decided that we would just keep on going to the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge instead.  We were a little disappointed that the visitor center wasn’t open.  (Apparently, it’s closed on the weekends after March 31st.)  The disappointment didn’t last long as we found a beautiful picnic area right by the water. Rain for Your Land

Project 365 – #099 On Friday, we were blessed with the sweet sound of raindrops on our windows.  Munchkin put on her coat and rain boots and headed outside to play. The rain cooled down the temps and cleared the air.  I so enjoy the lovely smell of spring rain.

A Place to Call Home

Project 365 – #098 That little bird has chosen his shelter. Above it are the stars and the deep heaven of worlds.
