Project 365 – #107 Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.” All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: “ Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘ Behold, your…

Project 365 – #106 Today, we stopped by Painted Rock Petroglyph Site which is located near Gila Bend, Az.  (We were on our way home from the Phoenix Gluten Free Expo – more about that later.)  A petroglyph is basically a symbolic or artistic rock etching.  Usually, you’ll only see a few here and there – if you’re fortunate to be able to find/see them.  At this location, there are literally hundreds of etchings. Project 365 – #105 Munchkin has a serious dislike for bees, wasps, hornets….  You get the idea.  Lately, she’s torn between staying away from them and capturing the beautiful flowers.  Usually, her dislike wins, and she asks me to get pictures of the flowers surrounded by bees.  When we were out hiking, we came across this beautiful bush filled with flowers – and bees.  As I was snapping the picture, this wasp decided to get into the picture.  The bees, on the other hand, didn’t want to make their presence known in the pictures other than their back ends. lol!

On the rock he dwells and makes his home, on the rocky crag and stronghold. From there he spies out the prey; his eyes behold it from far away. ~Job 39:26-29~ There is something majestic about a hawk soaring overhead.  The hawks ride the currents – drifting up, down, and side-to-side.  While the hawks are being carried by the wind, they are closely scanning…

Project 365 – #103 Since the temps are supposed to be on the rise this week, Munchkin and I decided that we’d head over to the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge on Tuesday.  D had hoped that he would be able to go with us, but his work schedule didn’t allow him to get away.  As we were getting things ready to leave, Munchkin asked if she could see if her friend could go with us.  I told her that it was fine to ask, so Munchkin ran next door to find out if she could join us on our adventure. …
