Around Thanksgiving, I ran across a homeschooling family that put out the old time radio shows on the internet for free. I subscribed and received a fun series called Cinnamon Bear. Bread Machine: Oatmeal Bread Recipe

We absolutely love fresh baked bread. Only, I like to cheat and use the bread machine. It took a while before I found a recipe that I really liked. Have fun adding different types of grains with it. This is the standard recipe. Oatmeal Bread Ingredients:1 1/2 c water (warm)1/4 c sugar1/4 c vegetable oil2 tsp salt1 tsp lemon juice1 c wheat flour2 c all purpose flour1 1/2 c quick-cooking oats (not instant)2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast Directions:In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. I am not a morning person. I get my best, most restful sleep in the morning hours. There are several factors that come into play here, but that’s not what this post is about. My make it from scratch entry this week is spaghetti sauce and biscuits. I’m posting my entry early, since I won’t be able to post it before Monday if I wait until the weekend.
