Last night, I stayed up way too late working on Munchkin’s cake and other party decorations. Munchkin hasn’t seen the cake yet. She’ll see it for the first time at the party. I’m pleased with how it turned out even though I have the most difficult time writing on cakes. This morning, we worked on cleaning the house some more and doing some decorating before heading over to family day. They had two inflatable slide/bounce houses for the kids and lots of food. Some people were playing horse shoes while others were playing volleyball. D and I were busy talking…

I had grand plans for this week’s challenge. I was thinking lots of lemons on the local lemon trees. Thoughts of fun things I could do with the 5 different types of mustard that we have in the fridge fluttered around my mind. Yellow crayons and colored pencils danced through my head. In the end, I was too busy with Munchkin’s party planning, so I headed out to take pictures of flowers. Our day started off with house work and schoolwork. Once again, Munchkin did most of her work on her own, so I could get some tasks done around the house. After she was done with her school work, she got dressed and ate some lunch. (Yes, we often stay in our pjs in the morning hours.) After lunch, we headed over to the park for park day with our homeschool group. Munchkin gave one of her friends an invite to her party.
