Learning to Make Homemade Skin Care Products

Posted in Homemaking, and Homeschooling

Munchkin is having fun with her natural health class. This week, she’s learning about natural skin care products. As she’s looking at products to avoid (and why), she started to get more excited about making her own skin care products with natural ingredients. The first thing on her “to do” list was cleaning out some old lip balm containers as she was going to be making her own lip balm. The funny thing was that cleaning out the lip balm containers was a longer process than actually making the lip balm. She was pretty proud of the end result. She’s…

When God Answers…

Today, I’m doing something a little unique for me. I’m featuring a guest post by my friend Heidi Kreider as part of her virtual book tour. I had the opportunity to read Heidi’s book in Kindle form when it was first released and truly enjoyed it. Now, the book is in print for the first time, and I’m so excited for her reaching this milestone. I believe you’ll enjoy hearing about Heidi’s journey… I sat with 4000 other women. She stood and spoke. She spoke with sincerity and authority…. authority that comes from first-hand experience. She spoke of her childhood…

The Christian Olympics

While we can’t all participate in the 2012 Olympics games, we are able to participate in the Christian Olympics. You’re probably wondering, “what are the Christian Olympics?” Don’t worry. I thought the same thing before I joined in on the fun. Each day, you’re given different tasks to complete that will help you…

Lilla Rose Pony Style

Munchkin and I recently decided to team up and become Lilla Rose consultants. We received a flexi clip from a friend and ended up liking it so much that we decided to become consultants. The idea is mainly for Munchkin to earn some money to put towards her truck restoration and a little extra spending cash. At this point in time, we’re not sure how in-depth we’re going to go – only time will tell. We like the products, so we want to share them with others. Not familiar with Lilla Rose? Well, it’s a company that features high quality…

Thankful for Air Conditioning

Posted in Family, and Military Life

We woke up to a very hot Monday morning, not unlike most mornings here in the desert of Arizona. Only, today it wasn’t just hot outside – the inside of the house felt warm too. I headed over to the thermostat to see the temperature inside rising. Something was wrong with the air conditioning. I started up with the normal checks… air filter, breaker… Everything was fine. I moved outside. The unit was dead. The compressor wasn’t running. The fan wasn’t moving. Ugh! I call over to base housing maintenance, and they put in an emergency maintenance request. We should…
