My father-in-law’s brother passed away of a heart attack a few days ago and the funeral is today. I’m posting a “moment of silence” in honor of him. Please pray for the family during this time of grieving. Imagefrom allposters.com

First Tomato

We’ve been patiently awaiting our first red tomato of the season in our garden. We have lots of green tomatoes on the plants (which is wonderful in and of itself), but alas, the red tomato has alluded us. Well, a couple of day ago we found one of our cherry tomatoes starting to turn red. This is what I found this morning!!

Today, we went to both Sunday School and morning service. We all enjoyed the fellowship and learning in Sunday School, and the service was very good. Munchkin sat with us during the service today and liked that much better than the children’s church program. (Our baby is growing up.) It looks like we’ve found our church home. We’ll continue to attend here and in time, get more involved. They also have an Awana program that we’d like Munchkin to participate in once we get more settled. A New Church Home

With each move, we usually struggle to find our new church home. It’s become a source of tension whenever we learn that we’re being relocated. This time, we all prayed as a family well before we even headed down here that we’d find a church home quickly. We went to a church of one of Munchkin’s friend over Easter Sunday when we were moving some of our things down here, but we knew that it wasn’t right for us. Fast forward to us moving down here last week…. We had no idea where we were going to go to church…
