Gluten Free Crunchmaster Giveaway

Posted in Reviews

Crunchmaster makes a nice selection of delicious crisp gluten free crackers.  We received a couple of varieties to try (multi-grain with sea salt and multi-grain crisps), and they didn’t last very long around here.  While the original multi-grain were great, both D and I preferred the sea salt variety.  The sea salt gave it a wonderful punch of flavor.  These were our favorite for snacking. Once I saw the packaging, I realized that we actually had purchased a bulk package of the crackers from either Sam’s Club or Costco.  Munchkin’s absolute favorite is the rice cracker artisan cheese blend.  She…

Christian Artist Intro: Robert Pierre

Posted in Reviews

We are always listening to music around here, so it’s fun when a new (at least to me) Christian artist comes onto the scene. First, let me introduce you to Robert Pierre – a typical 18-year-old senior.  Well, he’s typical except for the fact that he’s about to release his 3rd Christian music album. Review: Institute for Excellence in Writing

Posted in Reviews

It’s not always easy to find curriculum that works for both the parent/teacher and the student.  In fact, it can feel downright impossible at times.  But every now and then, you find a curriculum that really works well for everyone involved, and that curriculum seems to change the whole dynamic of your homeschool – at least for that subject area.  Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) was that curriculum for us. Munchkin is quite the creative story teller, but something happened when she tried to put it all on paper.  The mechanics of writing just seemed to slip through her…
