We are always listening to music around here, so it’s fun when a new (at least to me) Christian artist comes onto the scene.
First, let me introduce you to Robert Pierre – a typical 18-year-old senior. Well, he’s typical except for the fact that he’s about to release his 3rd Christian music album. On this latest album, Robert wrote 10 of the 11 songs on the album. Obviously, he’s singing on the album, but he’s also playing guitar and singing back up vocals. At a young age, his passion for Christ and music shines through in all of his songs. He’s got a strong voice with a slight edge to it.
I wanted to share how Robert’s life started down this path:
Robert grew up in a Christian home and knew about Christ all his life, but it wasn’t until he was confronted by a teacher in seventh grade that he gave his life to Christ. “He looked at me and asked me one simple question,” Robert explained, “He asked,”If you were to die right now, and were standing at the gates of heaven, and God asked you why He should let you in… what would you say?’ And all I could think to answer honestly was that He shouldn’t…” The Spirit used that moment to bring Robert to a point of repentance and salvation that changed his life forever.
After that moment in Robert’s life, he started using his musical talents to honor and glorify the Lord. With the Lord’s help, his musical career has flourished. Did I mention that he’s an honors student while all of this is going on? Since Robert is getting ready to graduate from high school tomorrow, I thought today was a perfect time to introduce you to him and his music.
